Rare Edwardian sterling silver Mr Punch pin dish by Edward Durban, Chester 1907

Description

A rare collectable sterling silver pin dish by Edward Durban, made and hallmarked in Chester in 1907. This piece features fine Repousse work and depicts the inaugural front cover of Punch magazine, founded in 1841. The original picture was drawn by Richard Doyle, and this offer comes complete with a later Punch magazine dated 18th December 1901. The dish measures 10 x 7 cm.
